"Hundreds of shoppers braved Friday morning's bitter cold weather for a chance to purchase some holiday gifts at reduced prices. And while most stores opened at 5 a.m. or later, some shoppers had been waiting outside since Thursday night.

Here's a look at the early morning line-ups outside of area retailers.

First stop: Circuit City in Troy, 3:15 a.m.
